Operations Research (Investigación de operaciones)

Undergraduate course, Universidad Libre, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial engineering, 2019

In this course, students are faced to the knowledge of operations research tools divided in three areas: decision making processes, network analysis and metaheuristics. Python libraries are implemented across those areas. Problems related to management, operations, strategic decisions, production and service planning are explored throughout the course.

Simulation (Simulación)

Undergraduate course, Universidad Libre, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial engineering, 2014

Discrete Event Simulation is explored as a tool to facilitate decision-making in engineering of processes. Students develop a project to simulate an operational process starting from its characterization and ending in an output analysis.

System Dynamics (Dinámica de sistemas)

Master Degreee and Undergraduate course, Universidad Libre, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial engineering, 2014

Using system dynamics as a strategic tool in businesses, financial or operations fields. Students develop a short resarch project related to their working fields using CLD, Forrester diagramas and performing experiments.

Logistics (Logística)

Undergraduate course, Universidad Libre, Faculty of Engineering, Industrial engineering, 2014

The course is aimed to design logistic strategies for companies based on the conceptualization of Supply Chain Management. Special emphasis is given to the use of optimization models with software as Pyomo (Python) and OpenSolver.
